‘Let Them Know’ from The Allergies is a ‘sizzling slice of sunshine’

‘Let Them Know’, a single from Bristol-based The Allergies featuring The Cuban Brothers, is a ‘sizzling slice of sunshine’, according to the group’s record label, Jalapeno Records, with its incredibly catchy chorus, hip hop drums, horns galore and boogaloo rhythms.

The song kicks off with party starters The Cuban Brothers weighing in with:

‘Hombres this is nice yo

The horns of truth

El espectaculo a su ver ridiculo

Si, hermanos, let it show, man

You gotta let them know!’

‘Let Them Know’ was released in the lead-up to The Allergies’ album, Say The Word, released on 17 July 2020, and was a great indicator of the slick production, sweet collaborations, and feel good vibes that run through each and every track on there.

With other funny lyrics, such as ‘Hey Roymondo, Roy, I told you it’s nice man. That’s what I’m saying to him. Ads, you cannot wear this, mate. This is clearly a woman’s pantalon. You’re gonna get arrested! Haha…’ you won’t be able to avoid smiling as you sing along!

The 7” vinyl version of this single comes backed with ‘Lightning In A Bottle’, a wax-only hip-hop club rocker featuring Andy Cooper (Ugly Duckling).

Ideally, you’d want to dance the night away to it on a sun-kissed beach but, this summer, most of us will have to settle on dancing around to this fun-loving track at home, hopefully with a mojito in our hands…

It’s the kind of song you have to put on repeat or, as The Allergies told us, ‘back to back to back to back’!
