Blossoms to release album of lockdown covers

Stockport-based band Blossoms has announced that they will launch an album of their popular lockdown covers, titled Blossoms In Isolation.

During the UK’s lockdown period, the five-piece band, which comprises Tom Ogden (lead vocals, guitar), Charlie Salt (bass, backing vocals), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar, percussion). Joe Donovan (drums) and Myles Kellock (keyboard, synthesizer, backing vocals) shared covers of tracks such as The Coral’s ‘Dreaming Of You’ and Tame Impala’s ‘The Less I Know The Better’, and now they have announced their intentions to release them as a collection later this year. They also shared a lockdown version of their own song ‘My Swimming Brain’, from their Foolish Loving Spaces album.

‘We’ll be releasing all of our isolation covers over the next few weeks which will make up our Blossoms In Isolation album also available later in the year on CD/Vinyl,’ the band announced via Twitter.

Last week (10 July), the group released one of the singles that will make up the album, ‘Please Don’t (In Isolation)’.
